ভারত A 346 (Jurel 105, Padikkal 80, Akash Deep 68, Sheat 4-63) and 282 for 2 (Jaiswal 155*, Rathod 100*) drew with নিউজিল্যান্ড A 424 (Boyle 110, Foxcroft 93, Mukesh 5-87, Siraj 4-118)
ভারত A 346 (Jurel 105, Padikkal 80, Akash Deep 68, Sheat 4-63) and 282 for 2 (Jaiswal 155*, Rathod 100*) drew with নিউজিল্যান্ড A 424 (Boyle 110, Foxcroft 93, Mukesh 5-87, Siraj 4-118)। Yashasvi Jaiswal and Yash Rathod scored unbeaten শতক on the চতুর্থ দিন as the second four-day fixture between নিউজিল্যান্ড A and ভারত A ended in a draw. Ten balls after tea when Rathod completed his 12th first-class শতক, the teams decided to shake hands with ভারত A 204 রান ahead.। ভারত A were under the cosh once play resumed after over 90 minutes were lost to rain in the morning. With strong winds blowing under overcast skies, B Sai Sudharsan faced a stern test. Jarrod McKay shaped the ball into his pad with a leg gully, midwicket and square leg in place. Teams have often used this ploy against Sai Sudharsan in his brief Test career, and McKay found early success. Sai Sudharsan tucked the sixth ball of the day straight to Tim Robinson at leg gully to walk back for 11 off 34.।
In the next over, Devdutt Padikkal got a corker first ball and was bowled for a golden duck. Brett Randell pitched one up on off and got the ball to straighten just a little past Padikkal's outside edge to knock his off pole over. ভারত A had lost two উইকেট in the space of three balls while still trailing by 43.। Jaiswal, though, was quick to transfer the pressure back onto the opposition. He walked down the track on the first ball he faced to punch-drive McKay past mid-on. He also moved around in the crease to throw a disciplined Randell off his radar. In his company, Rathod also found his feet and flourished.। The early characteristic of their unbroken 247-রান অনবদ্য জুটি was the running between the উইকেট. Both Jaiswal and Rathod often pinched singles while tapping the ball in front of cover or square leg. That kept the নিউজিল্যান্ড A fielders on their toes. It also resulted in a couple of mix-ups, one of which should have had Rathod রান-out on 37. Once McKay and Randell finished their first spells, ভারত A found the scoring easier.।
Jaiswal, who had scores of 17, 5 and 0 on the tour so far, looked at his belligerent best. He pulled anything short from Randell or McKay over the arc between midwicket and backward square leg, and thrashed any bit of width outside off past gully.। নিউজিল্যান্ড A were left without quick Fraser Sheat, who took a four-for in the first innings, due to a side strain, and left-arm spinner Jayden Lennox because of a hamstring injury. Offspinner Dean Foxcroft was not allowed to settle by Jaiswal, who plundered him for 47 off 33 balls with four sixes, including the one over midwicket that got him to hundred off 119 balls.। Rathod, meanwhile, looked compact and fed Jaiswal the strike during their অনবদ্য জুটি. But he also didn't let go of any scoring shots. Like when McKay bowled one across him with primarily a leg-side trap set. It was a pretty chanceless knock from the Vidarbha ব্যাটার, who already scored a অর্ধশতক in the previous match on this tour.।
The Jaiswal-Rathod অনবদ্য জুটি came at over a রান-a-ball, and the match result was writ large before the players shook hands.। Once again it's that big in swinger that causes Jaiswal's downfall. Late on the shot as he prods forward. He's a dead duck. Jaiswal's third straight low score on tour. Sheat gets that banana swing going, starts from outside off and curves back in a long way. Jaiswal had no answers.। McKay strikes first ball after lunch as Sudharsan nicks off. He comes in from around the উইকেট, the angle takes the ball away as it straightens, Sudharsan has a poke at that and he doesn't even wait for the keeper to complete the catch. He was on his bike immediately. Poor stroke after doing all the hard work.।
Padikkal pays the price for over aggression. This was short alright, but certainly not enough width on offer to flay that behind point. Padikkal is bitterly disappointed with the shot. নিউজিল্যান্ড are fighting back.। nibbles away at a full delivery and nicks off. Rathod was looking so good, but a split-second's indecision has cost him. A very tentative poke to a delivery that angled in and straightened off the seam. By then, Rathod was committed forward. A উইকেট well-deserved.। Edged behind and taken at second slip।
Randell has been threatening today and he gets the big breakthrough। . Fuller side of length outside off, just a bit of inswing, and Jurel gets across to block and gets a thick outside edge to Mariu's right, and he dives to take a low catch. Fantastic knock from the ভারত A skipper comes to an end। given out first ball।
Sheat on a hat-trick and Smaran walks back having left one alone. This one came back in a long way from around the stumps, Smaran offered no stroke thinking this may be bouncing over. But he was right back inside the crease and the ball didn't have a long way to travel.। the afternoon continues to get better for Sheat. Dream start to the final session as Washington's defiance is over. Full, straight, late tail and plumb in front as he misses it.। Double-Nelson has struck. The bait is taken. Lennoxx flights a gorgeous, wide delivery tempting the ব্যাটার into a booming drive. Suthar obliges, feathers an outside edge, and Mitch Hay makes no mistake behind the sticks. Classic bowling intelligence।
aaand the entertainment comes to an end. Length ball on off, Akasah clears his front leg and heaves, no timing on this one as the lobs up towards deep cover. Dean Foxcroft out there pockets an easy catch to close out the innings। Oh, and Siraj tries to go for a big shot and gets cleaned up। B acks away to this full ball on off and has a big swing. Misses it altogether and loses his off-stump।
A bit of a brain-fade from him, facing the last ball of this over, but that's his innings done for a duck। Siraj reaps the rewards for a magnificent, probing spell of fast bowling. He lands this one on a demanding length, locking the ব্যাটার right on the crease. No wild swing, just relentless accuracy that asks the tough questions. Mariu feels for it on the front foot, feathers the outside edge. Dhruv Jurel dived brilliantly to his right to snaffle a fine catch। Mukesh gets his first, and what a setup।
He pitches it full and tempts Heaphy wide outside off stump. Heaphy bites, reaching out for the cover drive, but the late movement nips away to take the edge, flying straight into the safe hands of Jaiswal at gully। নিউজিল্যান্ড A are three down for virtually nothing here. This is top-class Test match bowling from Mukesh Kumar. This one nipped in sharply from off stump; Robinson looked like he was expecting the away-swinger, but this one jagged back in viciously, beat the bat, and pinned him right in front. The cordon goes up in unison, the বোলার joins them, and umpire Craig Pryor has no hesitation in raising the dreaded finger। Stunner from Padikkal early in the day।
End of the centurion Boyle's stay. Siraj angles this one away from a length on middle and off. He pokes at it and gets a thick outside edge. Padikkal, the lone slip fielder, throws himself to his left to pull off a low catch. Almost caught it behind him. That should spur the Indians up। The 208-রান stand is broken। Heartbreak for Foxcroft. Falls just seven short of a brilliant শতক।
This one jags back in sharply with the angle. Foxcroft advances down the track, misses the shot for once, and gets pinned plumb in front. The cordon and the বোলার go up in unison. Umpire Craig Pryor acknowledges the appeal and raises the finger. Foxcroft looks visibly unhappy as he trudges off, but what an absolute masterclass in ataraxia it was while it lasted। No, but the outswinger does the job। Back of a length outside off, an innocuous delivery moving way away. Mitch Hay looks to play a cut shot, a nothing shot, you could say, and feathers one straight to the keeper.।
Mukesh bags his fourth. Back of a length on off, just angling away from the ব্যাটার. Clarke advances a bit, pokes at the away-going delivery, and Smaran at first slip takes an easy catch। Another one nips in sharply from outside off. Randell, perhaps already thinking about lunch, shoulders arms to a delivery slightly fuller than the previous one, and watches in horror as it thumps straight into the stumps। উইকেট right after the delay. That shiny new ball does the damage instantly।
Full and shaping away late, sheer loss of focus after the pause as he reaches out to play away from his body. Edged, and Padikkal makes no mistake taking a neat catch. Mukesh bags five.। Finally. ভারত break the last-উইকেট stand that spanned close to 25 overs। Tossed up on a fullish length around middle and leg, looked to be the arm ball. McKay went for the drive with the turn that was non-existant. Sees his woodwork shattered. নিউজিল্যান্ড A finish with a 78-রান lead।
The leg trap works for নিউজিল্যান্ড A। Sai Sudharsan tucks one straight to him. McKay shapes a length ball onto his pads, gets a nice bounce on it as well. Once again he looks to tuck it away and does so straight to Robinson, who takes a nice low catch. A short start in the middle for Sai Sudharsan and ভারত A lose one while being still 46 behind। Padikkal is out for a first-ball duck. Randell pitches it up just outside off, it straightens after pitching. He looks to play the drive on the initial angle but is beaten on the outside edge and sees the off pole pegged back. ভারত A struck early on the fourth afternoon while still being in the deficit।
